Cowboy Up!

We went to the fair! M always likes to spend her birthday at the Cassia County Fair in Idaho. Here is a picture of my cousin, Todd riding his horse:



Ok...not really - that was from the rodeo. Here he really is. He was part of a cutting team and did really well. They finished in the top ten out of 100+ teams!

He's a Keeper!

L has been playing in the La Roca cup the past two days. Rush came in third overall. They are starting to mesh together as a team and did really great!

My favorite keeper met the goal post head on in his first game today. I was freaking out on the sideline, but after sitting out for a while, he seemed to be ok. Whew! What do you think they would do if the keeper's mom ran out on the field to see if her kid was alright? Just kidding...I wouldn't really (or would I??).

Braces...

On February 14, 2006, M got her braces on. She was so unhappy! It didn't help that it was Valentine's Day and as soon as she got them on, she was going back to school for a dance!

Well...16 months and $4,500 later, she is brace free! HOWEVER...before I would take her to get them off, I made her take pictures with them on. So...here is what she looked like the day before they came off. I will have to bribe her into some "after" pictures!

Cody - All-Star!

We went to Twin Falls this weekend to watch Cody play in his All-Star football game. As usual, he did an awesome job! Cody...if you want to see yourself up-close, you can double click on the pictures to make them bigger (ha ha)!

The beauty of Photoshop is that you can take a picture of a boy eating a grilled cheese sandwich and change it to look like he was actually posing for a picture...

Grilled Cheese

M had her team banquet for track tonight. She wouldn't let me take my camera. :(

When we got home, L had to have a grilled cheese sandwich, because he didn't like the food at the banquet. I still got to take a picture, but it was L eating a sandwich and not M getting props for her track! Oh well! I'll take what I can get these days!

Here are the new countertops and the sink. Would you ever think that you could love a sink? I love mine!

Daily Kitchen Update

Ok...here is how my sad little kitchen looks this morning! Notice the cabinet doors today. Also, notice how clean the tops of the cabinets are...that is because my countertops are coming any minute now! Stay tuned..I'll post countertop AND SINK pictures later!

SLOWLY Making Progress

Here is how our kitchen looked yesterday morning. There have been some changes since this. We have most of the doors on the cupboards. They will be back again on Tuesday to hopefully finish the doors and the crown molding around the top. The countertops and sink will arrive on Wednesday, but I just found out that our plumber can't hook up the water until after Memorial Day! (YIKES!) Someday...I will have a functioning kitchen! By the way...I'm honestly usually more clean than this...

Look What Landed...

at the top of our street this morning! I thought there were military helicopters flying over again, but the noise kept getting louder and louder. When we looked out, Air Med was right over our house and coming down. Ron had seen a fire truck go up the street behind us earlier, but didn't think too much of it. I don't think I've ever seen so much action on our street at one time! When it landed, our neighbor's bushes and garbage cans were blown all over. It was really cool to watch, but a horribly sad story to go along with it.

Ouch!

Of all the pictures I took today at the Sophomore Regionals, these are the pictures I chose to post. This is what happens to your knees when they meet the track accidentally. This didn't happen today...these wounds are from last week's Regionals meet. They just reopen each time she runs! M got tangled with another runner in last week's meet and went down on her knees. But, in the true spirit of winning, she got back up and finished her 800 in third place!

It sounded like such a great idea at the time!

So...we decided to remodel our kitchen. It seemed like a good idea, but now every time I walk into our bare-wall, no floor kitchen, I wonder if it will ever be the same again! Not really...it is coming along. The electrical wiring and the wall should be finished today and then we can begin to install the flooring and paint. That will really help with the dust that is flying everywhere! I have dusted and dusted the rest of the house, but to no avail! I'll try to remember to post progress pictures; if I don't lose my mind first! :)

P.S. Move over Ty...L is doing our Extreme Home Makeover!
