Photo of the Day

This is next to one of our favorite places to eat. It is just a small, neighborhood barber shop. We always say how much we love it every time we pass it.

Winter is For the Birds!

I bought a couple of bird feeders late last Summer and had them hanging in my garden area. I couldn't ever see them eating, so Ron moved them to where we can see them from the kitchen window. So far, I haven't seen them eating, but assumed they were since I have to refill the seed in the feeders.

But...today while the dogs were inside, L and I looked out and saw them eating themselves silly! It was fun to watch them. They can get a little bossy and pushy!

Eat up little birds...there's more where that came from!

Check Me Out...

My friend Sandy decided to learn how to knit, so I decided to give it a try myself. I have finished a cowl and am starting a second one. Thank you Sandy and You Tube! Without you, I'd never figure it out!

The Days of December

December has come and (almost) gone! We have had a busy month and I didn't want it to get past without posting about some of our events.

L had a Christmas concert. He is part of the Boys' Eighth Grade Choir. Here is a little taste of the concert in case you missed it! :) L is on the top row, third from your left. (click the little arrows down in the bottom right corner to make it bigger.) Excuse the camera work. I forgot to take my camera and/or video camera so this is from my little Nikon I keep in my purse.

L also celebrated a birthday! He is now 14 and 6'3"! He just bought new basketball shoes yesterday in a size 13!!

To celebrate, we went to the movie and saw Mission Impossible 3. We ate L's favorite food at California Pizza Kitchen.

Of course, you can't have a birthday without a party. We had a lot of friends and family join us for White Chocolate Blackberry Cupcakes and an ice cream bar with homemade hot fudge and homemade caramel. Mmmm...

And of course, you can't forget Christmas! We are so happy to be able to have a nice Christmas each year, and this one wasn't any different.

We spent Christmas Eve with Ron's family and then did our traditional drive through the Layton City lights. We spent Christmas Day at my parents enjoying each others' company and great food. M waits all year for funeral potatoes and Grandma didn't disappoint! Thanks everyone for a great day!
