First off... on Friday, we stopped by Scoreboard Sports to see Real Salt Lake's MLS Cup that they won last fall. Evidently, it is embarrassing to smile for your mom's camera when other people are watching.
This is as close to a smile as I could get - but he wouldn't look at the camera while he smiled.
After watching Hannah's awesome showing at her Park City gymnastics meet, next up was the championship indoor soccer game on Saturday night.
OH MY GOSH! What a stresser! The team that our guys played had beaten our boys 9-0 earlier in the season. They were a year older and SUPER arrogant! So, when the match ended in a tie and had to go to overtime, my heart was freaking out. Then...a second overtime? Crap! Could it get any worse? Oh yep...a shoot out! Not too bad if your kid isn't the keeper, but when he is, it bites!
So, the first ball goes past the other team's keeper. The first shot on L goes in. The second shot on their keeper goes in (whew)! Ok...L's up again and STOPS THE SHOT! I seriously thought I wouldn't sleep all night - I was so wired!
So...here are some indoor shots, but not from Saturday's game. I had my camera in the car, but couldn't leave the game to go and get it. I am super sad that I missed the shot of L's team rushing the field and jumping all over him.
Jason...I know you told me to be a fan and not a fanatic, but I have to say, I think I got a little fanatic at this game and Grandma was right there with me!
And finally, we had basketball last night. Good game that ended 42-26. L played a good game even though he and Trevin had a soccer practice and then went right into a basketball game.
So...we are off to St. George on Friday for more soccer and start the basketball tournament next week.
