POTD - Worth the Wait!!

Ron called me as I was on my way home from work tonight and asked if I wanted to FINALLY take a trip to the new City Creek Mall.  Um...yes?  Of course I did!  

It is so much fun to see the new mall and the great stores that they have brought in.  After looking at all of the stores, though, I am wondering what is left over at Gateway.  A lot of the stores made the move to the new mall (I think 16 of them?).

The fountains are pretty cool.  The people who designed the fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas did them.  This one is set to music and then fire comes out of the middle.

The roof opens and closes to accommodate bad weather.

This is obviously L's favorite store.  In the back of the Foot Locker is the House of Hoops.  Here you can find limited edition shoes and everything basketball.  It's like a dirty little secret for basketball players!

Great idea Ron!  I had a lot of fun!

POTD - Freeport

Until lately, I had never been out here. Now I'm here all the time!

POTD That Wasn't...

The plan was to have a picture from our tournament games tonight.  Sadly, it was so ugly and violent, that there are no pictures to remember the scene.  L's coach got so frustrated with the refs, he pulled his team off with seven minutes left in the game.  L was thrown out for a "flagrant" foul, one boy went to the hospital, a mom was kicked out and one of the coaches was kicked out.  I guess that that is part of playing sports.  Not every game is a great game (and this one wasn't even close to good).   

Send good vibes for the weekend tournament.  We are heading to Boise with the Utah Hoops team!

POTD - Basketball Molli

All this time, we have been thinking that L was the basketball player in the family!  Turns out, we have another player.  Molli thinks she is part of the team and gets in on the action when L is out in the driveway.  

This is after the game and Molli was cooling off.  That isn't what you think it is...it looks like the team dumped the cooler of Gatorade on her!

These have been cooking for two days. Both L and M have been dying to eat them. So... (thanks to Pioneer Woman) dinner tonight was drip beef sandwiches and bow tie pasta salad.

VOTD - The Grape Smasher

L's science project which includes 3 pulleys, 3 inclined planes, 3 screws and 2 levers.  A marble runs through the inclined planes and onto a mouse trap which flips to smash the grape.
