POTD - And It Begins!

I stopped by Rocking E today and picked up some seeds. These are cold weather plants so they will be going in the ground very soon. If it wasn't already dark, they would be in already!

At $2 per bunch for kale, I hope these grow soon!

Sunday Afternoon at Farmington Bay

Another trip to Farmington Bay this afternoon.  Lots of people had the same idea!

We had a lot more luck than last time.  There were about six eagles flying in the distance and a few resting in the tree and on the ground.  They were still really far in the distance, so I didn't get a really good picture.  Next time out, I'll have to take my "Yellowstone lens".

Little ducks and Canadian geese were enjoying a dip in the icy water.

This hawk kept teasing us.  He would be flying around and then we would stop to take a picture.  As soon as we did, he would land in the grasses where you really couldn't see him. Then, we would give up and start to drive on and he would hop up and start flying around.  It was like he knew I was trying to take his picture!

Nice scenery too!  I only wish we had thought to dress warmer so that we could have walked around the trails a little!

We'll be back again soon.  Even if it is only moss, things are starting to green up!  I can't wait until it is warmer and greener!

POTD - Saturday Recap

L played five games yesterday with three teams.  Four for five on wins.  He stared the day in Ogden with the Utah Hoops team.  They won both games that L played with them, but then we had to leave before the third game.

Next, we headed down to Bingham High in Draper for two games with Pump N Run.  They won one and lost one.  They are really working together as a team now, which is exciting to see.

Finally, at 9:00 last night, we had to zoom from his last game with PNR to West Jordan High.  The 9th grade team had asked L to play with them in the President's Tournament.  He was running low on energy, but played a great game.  I might have been more tired (sleepy) at that point than L was!

Busy, long day, but really fun.  L is recovering today in preparation for more games tomorrow!
