Stay-cation Day #2

Can you put up with a week's worth of posts? Oh well...if not, read no further! For those of you who are good sports, READ ON!!

Day #2 of our stay-cation started with a bike ride down the paths of Park City. These are not your typical bike paths, they are nicely groomed, easy to ride paths. Here are some shots from our ride and the sites along the way...

Grandma and Grandpa drove up today to have dinner with us. We went to the Mountain House Grill in Midway. L and M and Gma and Gpa ordered some HUGE lemonades. The food was really good (if you wanted a reference). The atmosphere was fabulous (Tuesday afternoon in Midway is pretty quiet).

After dinner, Gma and Gpa headed home and we ventured out to do pictures with M. I won't add those here, but there are some below. Later, we all crowded in on the bed at the resort to watch the Olympics. Another great day in Park City!

Stay-cation

A stay-cation is where you vacation close to home. We spent the past few days in Park City enjoying the scenery and cooler weather.

After dropping the dogs off at Camp Barkalot...

We started out at Eggs in the City, a little breakfast place in Salt Lake.

Yummm...

M...are you ready to head up the canyon?

We stayed at The Canyons at the Westgate Resort. There was all sorts of fun things to do around the resort, like racing each other in the game room...

But we mostly were out and about. We did some shopping on Main Street:

L, how do you feel about shopping?

I don't know which one L loves more, the car, or the moose?

But, the highlight of Day #1 had to be the kids most favorite place in Park City:

That ends Day #1 of the Trusty Stay-Cation. Stay tuned for more...

Can You Believe It?

M is a senior this year. I can't believe life can fly by that fast. We spent the afternoon taking "senior pictures" in Midway and Park City yesterday. Here is a quick peek. There are a LOT to edit!

And Just Like That...

It's over! Both L and J are out of the tournament. J's team just missed making it to the semi's tonight. L and J played at the same time tonight, so we only got to watch J's game for a few minutes before it was over. Here are some highlights from their games...

Just a sneak preview of L's Sparta game today. They were unsuccessful in winning (ok, so they lost), but it was still a great game!

Ahhh...The Joys of Doggie Daycare

Toby and Harper had a trial day at doggie daycare! They were so tired when I picked them up...Toby didn't even make it the two blocks to the freeway entrance!

Stay posted...things are finally starting to happen again! L is playing in the Sparta tournament this weekend so I'll have pictures soon. We are headed to Park City in a couple of days and then to the Cassia County Fair. M has started training for Cross Country and is looking forward to her birthday in a couple of weeks!

What about you?

I Do...

I was lucky enough to be able to photograph my friend Marlene's wedding a couple of weeks ago. You can go to www.kimberlitrustyphotography.com and see what a cute couple they make.

The only thing that could have made for a nicer afternoon, was if we hadn't gotten rear-ended on our way home from the wedding. Oh well...what can you do, huh?

Tolman Elementary School - Fourth Grade Recorder Recital!

L's Fourth Grade had a recorder concert last week! Hmmm...imagine sitting through a rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" as well as many other well-loved songs (including "Jingle Bells") on the recorders. It was um...FABULOUS! To mix things up, they tossed in a medley of songs that were all in Spanish! Here is our star performer!

RSL (Real Salt Lake)

L's team had an awesome opportunity to attend a Real Salt Lake soccer game a couple of weeks ago. They got to do a little more than just watch the game, however! They were there to escort the Real players onto the field at the beginning of the game! Here is the team:

This is how you pose...

so that you can be on the scoreboard!

It takes a lot of standing around and waiting. You have to learn how to stand, hold the player's hand, and a lot of other official stuff. It can be a little boring at times. But...when you see this guy, you know it is time to get things going!

Here is L walking in with his player. He looks a little nervous to me...

Check out his team mate. He doesn't look nervous at all!

Do you know how many people I cut off and stood in front of to take these pictures?

But it was totally worth it!

Oh say can you see???

Here are L's biggest fans for the night...cheering him on!

And after all of that...we actually watched the game. I'll tell you some other time about the half time show...
