Hey Sports Fans!

Are you ready for all this action? Here are the athletes of the family! L is back into soccer full swing and M starts her track season officially with her first meet on Wednesday! Check out the keeper jersey and the track spikes. These are definitely the best dressed athletes in their sports! M has been working so hard to get ready for this. She has been training since January! Stay tuned for official pictures and race times!

Last Game of the Season

Tonight was L's last Jr. Jazz game for the season. They won 22-4 and ended the season undefeated. He was a little nervous that they might not win tonight and ruin their streak! Stay tuned...soccer starts on Saturday and M's track starts a week from tomorrow...

Even Chloe Works for Bribes!

Everyone here hates to pose for the camera! Even Chloe hates to have her picture taken. I had to bribe her with a game of catch in order for her to pose for me. She loves to play catch with her squeaky ball and will play forever if someone will throw the ball for her! In fact, she is bumping my foot with her ball as I type this! Have a great week!

Oh What a Difference a Few Months Make!

We took a little time and went down to the Bountiful Lake this morning to see what wildlife might be hanging out down there (not a lot this time of year). Here are a few pictures I took. Compare them to our posting from last June. It's amazing that in a few months, it will be warm and green again!

One more picture of Landon from today. Isn't he such a little model? He is trying to suck up to me to earn some things back that were taken away so he is being SO accommodating!

Have a great week!

Boy, Am I Going to be in Trouble!

Ok...after spending 7 hours in the hospital with Ron last Saturday night, I should be feeling really bad for him and taking care of him, right? Well...instead, I am sharing a picture of what he looks like after 3 hours of a scope down his throat to get the Chinese food unstuck from his esophagus. He is doing fine now and has to go in next month to have his esophagus stretched out again. To give him credit, he was stoned, tired and this was taken with my phone camera so don't be too hard on him!

Ron...don't make me sleep with the dogs tonight!

Heaven Help Us!

Ok...the first thing you will notice is that this post has no pictures! You might be asking yourself, "Why would she post and not include pictures?" Well...I am shaking so badly, that I couldn't hold a camera still if I tried! Now I know you are asking, "What in the world is she talking about?" Well... brace yourself... you might be shaking soon, too! Here goes...

Yesterday, M and her best friend M went to the DMV and got their driving permits. Yes folks, she can legally hit the roads in an automobile! The worst part is that I have to be in the vehicle with her as she is perfecting her driving skills. 40 hours of practice with mom or dad in the car (10 of those have to be in the DARK)! Think about how long 40 hours actually is... I know that you complain about being at work for 40 hours in a week. You could watch 80 episodes of The Office, you could bake 200 batches of cookies (12 minutes per batch), you could listen to Fergalicious 530.97 times and think about this...it is more than two month's time spent working out at the gym!

She actually is doing a fair job so far. The 30 minutes we spent in the car were enjoyable. You know...as enjoyable as going to the dentist and listening to the drill whining in your right ear! 30 minutes down, only 2,370 minutes left! Mom and Dad...if you are reading this, I think that Grandparents qualify as "legal guardians" during this phase! Don't worry though, L does a great job of coaching her from the back seat of the car...telling her she needs to speed up! Heaven help us!

So...just in case the next time you see me, if I am a little more neurotic than usual, you will know what is up!

Game On!

Basketball season is back in full swing. This was L's season opener and was in the new rec center. The "official score" was 26-4 even though the scorekeepers stopped posting it on the scoreboard after 16-4. Another fun game!

Merry Christmas!

We hope you had as much fun as we did on Christmas! L spent Christmas Eve writing a note to Santa about the cookies we had made for him and the carrots we left for the reindeer. After that, he watched The Christmas Story. M scored with her pile of goodies under the tree on Christmas morning (so did L). We are headed over to mom and dad's later today to celebrate AGAIN with Jason and his family! Merry Christmas!

Gorgoza Park

Yesterday we took L to Gorgoza Park by Park City tubing as an early birthday celebration. We had a great time on the tubing hills and L took a ride on the snowmobile run. Near the end of the day we were freezing and headed off to Pei Wei for dinner. Lots of fun and lots of pictures for you to enjoy!

Taking it to the Hoop

Just a quick picture from last night's Jr. Jazz game. It was the last game of the fall session. L will start up again after the new year. Very fun game to watch! L's team was down 1-10 and came back (but not victorious) at 9-12. Two really good teams fighting it out on the court!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Just playing around with some pictures of my decorations. They don't complain when I ask to take their picture!

Jr. Jazz Victory!

Here are a few pictures from L's basketball game last night. The final score was 28-18 and L had 14 of their points! Another game tomorrow night, too! That's what happens when you have three weeks off. You have a lot of make up games!

Sk8r Girl

Here is my little skater girl and her mad scientist brother. M wanted to dress up for Halloween even though she doesn't go out trick or treating. We went to the DI and bought this little beauty for $5. It's amazing the fun you can get out of a $5 ice skater costume.

Happy (Early) Halloween

L had a carnival at school tonight. He is a mad scientist this year. It works pretty well with his hair! In fact, he won the "best do" category in the costume contest and he didn't even enter!

How Did You Celebrate Columbus Day???

Here is how we celebrated Columbus Day (or really Columbus Night)...

L had another soccer game tonight. The score was 7-2 for L's team! YEAH! You can see from the pictures that he was really into the game tonight! After an awesome showing at keeper, he played forward and scored!

After L's game, we decided to run out to the Pumpkin Patch in Farmington and get some pumpkins for our yard. It sure is hard trying to find the perfect pumpkin! If you look close enough, you can see that L is sporting his own jack-o-lantern smile!

Keep checking back...Basketball starts this week!
